What is a podcast? A podcast is an episodic program delivered via the Internet. You can subscribe to a podcast using an application, such as iTunes, which regularly checks a website and downloads new episodes. CCIOG makes Pastor Kevin’s teachings available as a podcast. There are also podcasts available from many other great Bible teachers around the world.
Do I need an iPod? No. You can listen to or watch podcasts on your computer, using iTunes.
How much do podcasts cost? Nothing. All podcasts on the iTunes Music Store are free.
Do I have to have an account at the iTunes Music Store to get podcasts? No. An account is only needed to purchase music from the iTunes Store.
How can I get started?
If you do not have iTunes, download the latest version of iTunes, free.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install iTunes.
Launch iTunes and complete the set-up process.
To subscribe to Pastor Kevin’s podcast, click on their the audio or video podcast images at the top of this page.
After a few seconds, iTunes will launch and begin downloading the most recent sermon available.
You can find the downloads under the “Podcast” section of the iTunes Library.
To listen to the podcast:
Click the triangle next to the name of the podcast to see all the episodes:
Double-click on a sermon to play it.
To download and play older sermons, double-click on them or click the Get button.
Also, every time you launch iTunes, any new sermons that are available will automatically be downloaded.
How can I find more Podcasts?
In the left column of iTunes, click on iTunes Store.
Now search for “Calvary Chapel” using the search box in the upper right-hand corner.
You’ll see a list of hundreds of FREE Podcasts from such Bible teachers as Chuck Smith, Jon Courson, Bob Coy, Joe Focht & Raul Ries.
When you find a podcast you want to try, click Subscribe.
